2023 Spirit of Christmas Market
Friends of Vince will hold its annual Spirit of Christmas Market at Pink Elementary on Thursday, December 14. We need about 120 volunteers to make it happen. If you have never volunteered, I promise you will be glad that you did. It’s a fun, rewarding experience to get you in the holiday spirit.

Spirit of Christmas Market 2019
This year’s Spirit of Christmas Market was an enormous success! It served Pink Elementary, where 91% of the 600+ children are from low-income households. In the weeks leading up to the market, students earned kindness cash from their teachers and administrators, and used their earnings to “shop” for members of their families. We’re so proud of these kiddos, who not only deepened their spirit of giving, but were so appreciative and respectful of our volunteers. Go Palominos!
We are grateful to have partnered with Nery’s Promise and Friends of North Richmond to make this year’s market successful. Thank you to all the volunteers who donated their time and energy, and to all who donated gifts for the market!!
Hurricane Harvey Donations
Even though it has been a year since Hurricane Harvey devastated so much of Houston, there are still so many families that are not back in their homes.
Here are a few pictures to show what we have been doing with all the donations that we received to our “Harvey” fund.
We supplied much needed food to the pantry set up in Jackson Elementary in Rosenberg. We supplied diapers, clothes, underwear, socks and shoes for over 100 children. We also supplied a few special needs children with supplies that they lost in the flood. We were able to supply beds, mattresses, and linens for 8 children as they moved back into their homes.
Special thanks to Nike, Common Threads, 1st Church of God in St. James MO, and Bombas Socks. It was a blessing to partner with you and all the individuals who gave generously to serve those in need.
The Girls Selling Their Jewelry!
THANK YOU!!
In viewing this video that Judi made for our friendsofvince charity……..All the other gifts were donated by the beautiful ladies at You Can Academy! I have to say there were so many “behind the scenes” people that made this all possible. From helping me to put my vision into perspective, donating supplies, making and donating jewelry and crafts to helping me man the booths. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart ❤
Thanks to you we have reached our goal to purchase all of the kids in the program at Friends of North Richmond/Attack Poverty new sneakers for Christmas. We raised enough money to buy 59 pairs! You can still help us teach the kids to make the jewelry and crafts by lending your artistic talent or supplies, or by donating online. Let’s bless those who aren’t as blessed as us!!!!
WE WILL START TEACHING THE KIDS TO MAKE ITEMS TO SELL AFTER THE FIRST OF THE YEAR
